Disciplinary Guidelines

Types of Consequences

Whenever a student violates school rules and shows dishonour for their importance. The following will be considered:

  1. Students will be counseled in addition to any outcome.
  2. The intensity of the violation will be taken into consideration in determining the specific outcome.
  3. The number of times the offense has been repeated will be taken into account in determining the specific outcome. Progressive discipline will be used for the repetition of the mistakes.
  4. Whenever possible, behavior improvement plans will include natural outcome of behavior.
  5. The classroom teacher will assign a student to the administration when efforts to help the student have not changed the offending behavior.

General School Rules

  • Be punctual, report to school and class on time.
  • Strive to be present school daily. In case of absence, parents should call the school in the morning of the absence and notify the teacher in writing upon the student’s return to school. 
  • Respect each other at all times. Disagreements will be settled by discussing the problem and seeking a solution that is fair to all concerned. 
  • Buildings and the campus will be kept clean and neat. Do not damage school property.
  • Maintain order when moving to different areas. Do not run; running is a frequent cause of injuries.
  • The following are not allowed in school premises unless prior permission is granted by the school staff:
    • radios, cell phones, pagers and other electrical equipment
    • potentially dangerous toys and pets
    • skateboards, roller skates, rollerblades, razors
    • valuables, extra money, computer games, items of sentimental value
    • fireworks, matches
    • weapons or expensive toys
    • gum 
  • Remain within school boundaries at all times.
  • Avoid using abusive language and gestures.
  • Do not climb trees, gates, railings, fences, and the school buildings.
  • Respect the property rights of others.
  • Leave the premises immediately after school responsibilities are completed.
  • Buying/selling of personal items and trading are not allowed.

Basic Classroom Rules

  • Be in your assigned seat/location, ready to work when the school bell rings.
  • Bring paper, pencils, books and all necessary supplies daily.
  • Keep hands, feet, body, objects to yourself.
  • Follow Directions.
  • Respect others. Swearing, rude gestures, cruel teasing are prohibited. 

Recess Rules

  • Safety and fair play are essential. Although playground equipment will be supervised by an instructor, practice proper use at all times.
  • Respect each other. Avoid hurting others. Rough contact sports and games are not allowed.
  • Report all accidents to the instructor. 
  • Do not throw rocks, dirt, or anything else  that may hurt others.
  • Follow playground  rules at all times. Do not jump off playground equipment, take turns and go in the right direction. 
  • “Immovable” when the bell rings. Be sure to situate yourselves with two feet firmly planted on the ground. Remain in the “immovable” position until the whistle blows, then walk back to your classroom. 

Student Code of Conduct

REGULAR ATTENDANCE

Students are expected to attend school regularly and to attend all classes.

PUNCTUALITY

Students are expected to be on time for school and classes.

WORK HABITS

Students are expected to be prepared for and to participate in each class to meet performance standards, to have the necessary class materials, to complete classwork and homework accurately and on time, and to prepare for quizzes, tests and competitive  exams.

RESPECT FOR SELF AND OTHERS

Students are expected to be honest, behave with dignity and treat others with respect and courtesy. Behavior of the individual should not interfere with the rights of others. This includes the use of appropriate language and  actions. Students are expected not to bother others verbally and physically. Students are expected to come to school free from the influence of harmful products. Students are expected not to use such elements.

RESPECT FOR AUTHORITY

Students are expected to obey all school rules and to obey all laws. Students are expected to respond in a respectful method to all seniors while under the jurisdiction of the school and while participating in school-sponsored activities.

RESPECT FOR PROPERTY

Students are expected to treat all assets belonging to the school and to others with supervision.

FREEDOM FROM FEAR

Students are expected to contribute to a safe school environment free from fear. Action  of violence, weapons  are never acceptable.

Role and Responsibility of the Student Leader (Class Captain)

The following are the responsibilities:

  • Be a good example student.
  • Work in nearby coordination with class instructor.
  • Direct and ascertain class collaboration in school activities.
  • Backing in obtaining ambition of the class.
  • Ascertain the collaboration of the class scholar in the curriculum and learning activities.
  • Ascertain the neatness of the classroom and its outskirts.
  • Preserving the class absentee document and submit to class instructor.
  • Answerable for the care of the classroom asset and class.
  • Answerable for the composition of assembly lines when assembly is in class line.
  • Inform to class instructor on concern related to student behaviour and discipline.
  • Participate in concern related to student behaviour  and discipline (own class).

 

Student Leaders (co-curricular activities)

Formation of Literary, Cultural, Games & Sports, Health & Sanitation, Scouting, etc… This cluster of guidance have more professional contribution. They need to surpass themselves in the region in which they are selected and nominative. They need to ascertain the following role effectively:

  • Be a good example in their region of captaincy.
  • Be the active-part in the co and extra-curricular activities.
  • Promote students’ collaboration in the diverse activities.
  • Work in close coordination with the Instructor – Having command for Co-curricular activities.
  • Ascertain merits in the ethics of the activities.
  • Build collaboration to other captains and members.

Student Leaders (School Councilors)

Student Leaders are the lone most vital component of the school leadership as they represent the biggest organ of the school community whose welfare is of supreme importance to the school.

The following will be their responsibility:

  • Be a good example in leadership.
  • Represent the student association on concerns related to school management.
  • Represent school in programs and different learning activities when needed.
  • Take part in the School related meetings as the student representatives.
  • Be a part of the meetings with other captains in fetching out the learning activities of the school.
  • Organize and adjust all school activities along with other captains.
  • Ascertain scholar participation along with other captains in the school learning activities.
  • Give a hand the school in enforcing the school norms and provisions.
  • Give a hand in the daily running of the school.
  • Inform school on any sensitive concerns and student conduct that may possess school.
  • Participate in concerns related to student discipline.
